Gazelleband World Tour concludes in Ireland

After eight months of travel, music and solidarity, Gazelleband concluded their 2024 World Tour with three dates at Earagail and Boyne festivals in Ireland. At the Earagail Festival show at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny on 19 July, Gazelleband were met with the warmth and grace of a crowd of music lovers and pro-Palestine activists, carrying this spirit with them to Derry and onwards to Reem's 23 July concert at REfrACT festival in Manchester.

Boyne Music Festival in Drogheda saw Reem and Louis perform at the unique Boann Distillery on 25 July, before joining forces with BMF musicians for a collective concert at Townley Hall on 27 July, bringing Palestinian and Irish arrangements to a new setting. These included the participation of Lynda O'connor (violin), Robin Panter (viola) and William Butt (cello) in a world premiere performance of the composition Wasla Irlandiyya, and a group version of the Palestinian anthem Mawtini. World Tour reviews and recordings on the way, as well as news on ‘where next’ for Gazelleband!
